Service on your fiber optic network must be managed by your installer after all the cables are laid. The service technicians will use submarines to get to the bottom of the ocean to repair the cables, or the cables might need to be moved to a new location to prevent damage. A number of things could happen in the ocean every year, and it is best that you have worked with your installer to understand how to work around problems that are happening right now.
Repairs can be done when you realize that your connection is not as fast as it once was, and you could have an annual service done where a technician will scan the whole of the cable to ensure that it has not been damaged.
